A question we are often asked: How much does a square meter of landscape design cost on average?

• It may cost 10–12 RON/m² in the case of lawn seeding;
• It may cost 25–30 RON/m² when installing rolled turf;
• It may cost up to 60,000 RON/m² when planting a 9 m tall giant sequoia with a trunk diameter of 40 cm at the base.

The difference between two identical landscape structures with different budgets (one low-budget and one generous-budget) is the time horizon. You can buy today an apple sapling with a 1 cm thick trunk for 20 RON, or one with a fully formed crown and a 4–5 cm thick trunk that will produce 2 kg of fruit in the year of planting. The difference between the two is 5 years and 1,200 RON. A mature tree can be enjoyed from the moment it is planted; the other is a promise for the future. Neither option is superior to the other, but expectations and financial resources must be clarified during the design phase.
