While from below the building appears to be little more than a mass of concrete and glass, on the roof we have created a natural thermal shield and a refuge for biodiversity. It is an experiment in sustainability, where an arid space will gradually transform into a pocket of spontaneous nature, perfectly adapted to the local climate.

The planters add structure and volume to the entire complex, while the chosen approach transforms the terrace into a true rooftop garden, giving future residents direct contact with nature right in the heart of the new neighbourhood.

The result is a living green blanket that naturally insulates the house, protecting it from the cold in winter and the heat in summer. Even though we worked with frozen hands and transported materials to the rooftop at a time when nature itself seemed to be preparing for its winter rest, we succeeded in leaving behind a home that breathes with nature.

We successfully integrated photovoltaic technology into an extensive green roof for a home located in a picturesque area on the outskirts of Cluj, achieving a harmonious balance between energy efficiency and natural aesthetics.

We successfully transformed this secluded courtyard in the city center into a welcoming green oasis, where the fresh lawn and perimeter plantings completely change the atmosphere of the space.

For this residential complex, the project quite literally kept our heads in the clouds, as we worked on the 11th floor. The challenge was twofold: we had to install an extensive green roof at height, while also developing the green space below, located above the complex’s underground parking. The two phases were treated as separate projects.

The extensive green roofs on the buildings of the Vivido residential complex were not treated merely as technical surfaces to be solved, but as real components of the living experience.

The clients, who spend a large part of their day in front of a computer, wanted a home that is not only functional but also breathes together with the surrounding nature. Not a cold, isolated villa, but a place that gives rest to the eyes and the mind when you step onto the terrace or look out the window.

The owners' idea was clear from the beginning: the building should not stand out or seem forced into a mountain landscape that already has plenty of personality. The roof had to blend into the surrounding green, serving as a natural continuation of the slope and the forest behind it.

The extensive roof with succulent vegetation blends harmoniously into the landscape, enhancing the urban panorama with a natural and vibrant layer.

One year after installation, these green roofs installed at a residential complex in Timișoara have visibly stabilized, forming a uniform sedum carpet that completely covers the surface.
