References Residential Extensive green roof with gentle slope in Odorheiu Secuiesc, on a passive house 1 min read 0 1,452 Extensive green roof with gentle slope built in Odorheiu Secuiesc on a passive house, using Diadem green roof materials. The project was implemented using Sedum-type vegetation rolls – Odú. As this construction did not have parapets, stabilization and perimeter closure systems of the RDT-type green roof system, specially designed for this purpose, were used. The entire structure is stable due to the weight of the green layers and is not fastened to the roof structure with screws anywhere, ensuring that the waterproofing is completely protected. The Sedum rolls are reinforced with a double layer of geogrid, and the plants were pre-cultivated for 2 years in a biodegradable coconut fiber mat. The photos show the condition at the moment of installation as well as approximately three weeks after. We estimate that by June 2017 it will reach a highly aesthetic form, as it takes at least one year from installation for the Sedum plants to acclimate on a green roof or green terrace.
