Intensive and semi-intensive green terrace on the underground garage of the Avella residential complex in Cluj

Designed as an intensive and semi-intensive terrace on the underground garage of the Avella residential complex in Cluj, this approximately 1,400 m² green roof includes many elements of a true park.

The work, carried out in several stages, in parallel with other projects of the same client, took about six weeks, during which over 60 trees of 6–7 m height were planted and properly stabilized, as on the concrete slab of the garage roof without stabilization they could have been knocked over by the slightest breeze.

We planted a wide variety of shrubs and perimeter climbing plants. The substrate depth averaged 20 cm, naturally thicker in areas with taller vegetation, allowing the installation of the highest-quality turf.

In the non-accessible, non-irrigated areas, we installed sedum rolls for a more diverse coloration of the vegetation.
