The green roof layering is characteristic of extensive roofs, but in this project the client also requested an automated drip irrigation system to improve substrate watering, allowing the extensive green roof to gradually transform into a biodiverse roof, as this helps seeds carried by the wind from spontaneous flora to establish. The project was carried out in November 2017, during heavy snowfall. The green vegetation became visible two weeks after installation, after the snow melted.
