Green roof on a sports hall

An extensive green roof was installed on a non-accessible terrace of the sports hall at Ștefan cel Mare University campus in Suceava. The roof is relatively modest in size but offers significant ecological and energy benefits. There were no major logistical issues, thanks to the strong support of the client, but the unpredictable weather played its part.

The system was installed in record time—just one day—including the team’s travel from Târgu-Mureș to the site under extreme weather conditions (snowfall, blizzard). Work began with the removal of 48 m³ of snow from the terrace, after which the layers were applied. A strong emphasis was placed on occupational safety, as working at height on slippery surfaces was particularly hazardous.
