Commercial References Green terrace created with Sedum mats – Cernavodă 1 min read 0 2,996 Extensive green terrace established by seeding, at Crama Rasova winery in Cernavodă Our experience shows that on small surfaces, easily accessible for maintenance, a viable and cost-efficient solution can also be installing vegetation with Sedum mats. After installing all layers of the extensive green terrace, approximately 100–200 g of freshly harvested Sedum mats are evenly dispersed (maximum 48 hours from harvest to embedding at 10–20 °C, or up to 5 days if the Sedum mats are stored at 1–2 °C). After dispersal, the Sedum mats are lightly pressed to ensure maximum contact with the soil, and watered daily with a fine spray for 2–3 weeks. Then, through repeated redistribution of rooted Sedum colonies, weed removal, and fertilization, a well-covered vegetation is achieved in about one year.
