ODU Green Roof is a European brand in the field of green roofs

ODU Green Roof is officially a European registered trademark in the field of green roofs, protected in all 27 EU countries.

After approximately 12 years of activity in green roof construction, we considered that ODU Green Roof had gained enough recognition in the field of green terraces to be protected as a registered trademark, especially since some, trying to leverage our references, began claiming to use the ODU system while offering lower prices.

A European trademark is an independent system for protecting a sign or graphic element throughout the European Union and does not replace national or international trademarks. Until 2016, the EU office responsible for trademark registration was called the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM). Following Regulation (EU) No 2015/2424 of the European Parliament and Council amending the Community Trademark Regulation, which came into effect on March 23, 2016, the office is now called the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

Community trademarks are governed by Regulation EC 40/94, and according to Article 4 of this regulation, “all signs that can be represented graphically may constitute community trademarks, in particular words, personal names, drawings, letters, numbers, the shape of the product or its packaging, provided that such signs allow the distinction between the goods or services of one enterprise and those of others.”

The validity of the ODU Green Roof community trademark is 10 years, and it can be renewed indefinitely in periods of 10 years, being protected in the following classes:
