Public spaces References Sociocultural Center in Alba Iulia 2 min read 0 39 The green roofs of the new sociocultural center on Șincai Street in Alba Iulia are beginning to take shape, transforming a simple concrete surface into a living space that is much more environmentally friendly. We chose to combine two installation techniques to achieve the best results: we used vegetation rolls for an immediate visual effect, while also applying sedum cuttings to allow the plants to naturally adapt over time to the local climate. Besides their visual appeal, these roofs function as an excellent insulating layer, helping regulate indoor temperature regardless of the season. The images clearly show the attention to detail, from gravel drainage areas to the way skylights were integrated into the new green surface. It is a project we are proud of, representing a step forward for sustainable urban development right in the heart of Alba Iulia.
